Our last best chance to stop Woodfibre LNG r1 ...

Don’t let this fight go into overtime

Hi Paov,

Sometimes, the best game plan is to run out the clock. And that’s exactly what’s happened with the fight against Woodfibre LNG in Squamish.

Nearly four years after the company made a big splash about moving forward, construction still hasn’t started. Now Woodfibre’s permits are expiring and it claims it needs more time.

If we can convince the regulator not to grant an extension, the project and its fracking plans will never happen.

Write your letter today! There’s a reason these permits have a time limit: circumstances change. And in the years since the provincial government approved the project, we’ve learned a lot more about LNG’s disastrous impacts on the global climate.

Woodfibre LNG is an even worse idea now than it was back then. We’ve had four more summers with smoke-filled skies and collapsing salmon stocks. It’s time to turn the tide on fossil fuels for good — including fracked gas.

Will you write to the BC government to end the threat of Woodfibre LNG once and for all? His decision could come any day now.
