The Institute for Studies and Innovation in Community-University Engagement welcomes you to the UVIC Sustainability Research and Engagement Festival on Wednesday October 29th. Everyone is welcome to all events.
· Daytime:
· 9-12pm - What is happening at UVIC? How do we increase our collaboration between ourselves and the broader public? What are the innovative approaches and methods for communications and knowledge mobilization?
· 12-12:30pm - Sustainability Fashion Show
· 12:30-1pm - Lunch

Reaching Blue: Finding Hope Beneath the Surface

8-9pm - Panel and Discussion - Finding Hope at UVIC!
· Panelists from Science, Environmental Justice and Indigenous Communities. Additional UVic Sponsors include the Environmental Law Centre, CRD, VanCity, UVIC Sustainability project, UVIC office of Interdisciplinary Programs, Ocean Networks Canada, BC Sustainable Energy Association, UVic Community Mapping Collaboratory

The Film: Reaching Blue is a documentary film from Canada's west coast. An oyster farmer, a writer and an ocean scientist face the impacts of climate change while finding hope for the future beneath the Salish Sea.
