Do you work with someone who is making a special effort to promote sustainability on campus? Nominate them for the Staff Sustainability Champion Award! Initiatives can include waste reduction, energy conservation, promoting sustainable transportation or any of the other sustainability topics covered in the Sustainability Action Plan for Campus Operations 2014-2019.

THE CARNIVORE CONNECTIVITY PROJECT

Friday, March 27th, 2:45 PM

The Cascades Carnivore Connectivity Project represented a collaboration of researchers and volunteers working to scientifically evaluate habitat connectivity for carnivores in the North Cascades Ecosystem. See the UVic event site for more details.

Come try some local eateries. Purchase locally grown and produced foods at the Victoria public market at the Hudson downtown. Local farmers and food producers put on a proud display to tempt every appetite. Website.

THE SECRET TRIAL 5

843 Fort Street - West Coast Greens Space

Open Cinema and the West Coast Greens are hosting a documentary of the Canadian government's use of security certificates. Suggested donation is $10; popcorn; live Q&A feed from filmmakers afterwards. A timely documentary regarding Bill C-51 discussion. TOD CREEK WATERSHED COMMUNITY MAPPING EVENT

Saturday, March 28th, 1:00 PM

Prospect Lake Community Hall,

UVic Geography is looking for volunteers to help with a community mapping event, hosted by Evergreen and the Friends of Tod Creek Watershed. We hope to gather peoples stories, photos, what they value and cherish in the watershed creating a community map that speaks about changes to the Tod Creek Watershed Landscape overtime and informs and guides the future.
