Ready to speak up for the ancient forest?
Dear PAOV,
December is almost here, and that means our next Walbran Wednesday phone blitz is just around the corner!
On the first Wednesday of each month, we’re targeting the office of a different decision-maker complicit in destruction of the old-growth for a decentralized “phone rally.”
Here’s how it works:
We mobilize as many people as possible to join Walbran Wednesday and speak up for this incredible forest. The day before the action, we announce the target and provide you with the phone number, email contact and a sample script.
Then, when Walbran Wednesday rolls around, we all pick up the phone and make our demand: hands off the Central Walbran Valley.
The way you engage is up to you.
Last month, we heard from hundreds of you who made calls to logging company Teal Jones – some people spent three minutes on the phone, some spent much longer and some just sent emails. No matter how you got involved, thank you for adding your voice to the campaign!
We know we’re more powerful when we speak up together, so we hope you’ll help us bring forward the message that the Central Walbran Valley is too precious to log for corporate profits. As always, we ask you to keep the tone civil and respectful.

This Walbran Wednesday comes at a critical time: industrial activity is ramping up in the area and logging crews are moving closer and closer to the Central Walbran Valley. We’re keeping a close watch, and we’ll be sure to inform you every step of the way.
