PAOV — “My grandfather worked at the Oshawa plant for 37 years. My father has worked at the plant for 34 years.” General Motors has just announced they will close their Oshawa assembly plant by 2019. 2,800 people will loose their jobs. Petition starter Megan comes from a long line of GM workers and knows first hand how important the plant has been to many families in the community. She is urging GM to keep the plant open, you can support her and her family by adding your name.

Personal story
My grandfather worked at the Oshawa plant for 37 years. My father has worked at the plant for 34 years. I can't tell you how important these jobs have been to me and my family.
In many ways, I was raised by GM. This plant is so important to the Durham Region and many of its families who rely on these jobs to feed and support their families.
