We know, we know, nobody likes a braggart, but … we’ve had a pretty big week and it’s as much yours to celebrate as ours.Remember how last week we mentioned we’d received four nominations for the National Magazine Awards? Well, the very next day, we received three more nominations — this time for the Digital Publishing Awards.
And is if that weren’t enough, on Saturday we won the award for best photojournalism from the Canadian Association of Journalists!
Thank you for the tremendous support you’ve shown for The Narwhal in its first year. Some people question the appetite for quality journalism in Canada, but we never do because of readers you.
Just one year in, more than one million people have read The Narwhal, more than 700 give every month to make our independent journalism possible and hundreds more donate what they can, when they can.
Writing that down gives us goosebumps. We’re making something magic together, people!
