A,

Giant chain store, Costco is literally flushing a pristine, old-growth forest down the toilet.

The magnificent Boreal Forest is the largest remaining intact forest in the world. It covers 60% of Canada and is home to over 600 indigenous communities and billions of animals.

So why is Costco plowing it down? To make toilet paper.

50,000 SumOfUs members like you have already demanded the company stop destroying this precious forest and start using recycled paper instead. Because of you, Costco is all shook up -- executives have even reached out to us.

But they’re still dragging their feet -- so to save the forest, we have to turn up the heat right now!

We need to splash Costco’s forest destruction all across the internet with ads so thousands of Costco customers know what the company’s doing for pure profit. Costco has a history of bowing to public pressure, so we know these ads can get it to change. But we can’t do it without you, A. Can you chip in to make it happen?

We use toilet paper for less than 3 seconds. But it takes over a century for forests to grow back after logging for toilet paper -- and often the land never recovers.

The magnificent Boreal forest is one of the few remaining homes for treasured animals like caribou, cougars, and grizzly and polar bears. Billions of birds live among its old growth trees.

And every year the Boreal forest absorbs the equivalent of 20 million cars worth of carbon emissions. If we don’t stop flushing away the forest now, we won’t have a fighting chance against climate change.

Toilet paper is Costco’s best selling item -- and 100% of it is made from virgin pulp. By not using *any* recycled fibers, Costco is one of the worst offenders. If you chip in right now, we can get Costco to catch up to other tissue companies, and stop flushing away old growth forest.

A, we know we can win against huge corporations when we go big. When 400,000 members like you took action, we forced Starbucks to start using 100% recycled paper cups.

50,000 people have signed on to save the Boreal forest from the toilet drain. But Costco needs to hear from more people like you if it’s going to take serious action. Will you chip in to get this campaign across social media and search engines now?
