Hi Paov,

Today, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially confirmed that it has received 100% of the $55.1M announced as part of Global Citizen’s One World: Together At Home broadcast special.

This campaign was a collective effort by Global Citizens like you. Thanks to your actions, those funds for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO, powered by the United Nations Foundation and the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, are already having a real impact on the lives of those who need it.

So far, the funding mobilized by Global Citizen has helped support the delivery of:

  • PPE to over 120 countries, including:
    • 41.1 million medical masks and 1.8 million gowns
    • 10.2 million respirators
    • 5.5 million face shields and over 646 thousand goggles
  • 180+ Emergency Medical Teams worldwide
  • Essential COVID-19 treatment centers in over 15 countries

But the work isn’t over yet.

COVID-19 is a global humanitarian emergency, affecting education, driving unemployment, increasing hunger and poverty, and creating the perfect storm for political instability.

To end extreme poverty and set the world back on track to meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (a.k.a. the Global Goals), it's essential that we work together to ensure the world’s most vulnerable communities are protected and prepared for what's ahead.

Join us by continuing to take action to help the global fight against COVID-19 here, and to learn more about our collective impact, you can read more here.

Only together can we beat this pandemic.
