Nestlé is about to sell all its bottled water operations in North America.
Send a message to Nestlé and the potential buyers that we stand with grassroots communities in their fight against bottled water.
A,
It’s happening -- Nestlé just identified the buyers to take on its bottled water operations in North America.
Nestlé is getting out of the water business because over the years, SumOfUs members like you have supported 5 grassroots groups in Michigan, Ontario, California, Florida, and Colorado in their decades-long opposition to Nestlé’s efforts to suck small communities dry of all their water.
Nestlé is expecting bids from buyers that may include Coca-Cola and PepsiCo next week -- so together with the five grassroots Nestlé fighters, we’re sending a message to Nestlé and its potential buyers to return control to the community now.
After decades of profiting off our most precious public resource – our water – Nestlé is seeking one final, massive payout by selling off its entire North American water bottling operations.
To Nestlé, these springs and creeks are easy money.
But this is where you come in -- as Nestlé pursues this sale, the last thing it wants is for potential buyers to know how much global support these grassroots groups fighting for local water have – so that’s exactly what we’re going to give them. In conjunction with five grassroots Nestlé fighters, we’re going to build up the pressure over the next month leading to a huge international day of action.
Our collective victories in Oregon, British Columbia, and France against Nestlé is a huge reason that Nestle wants to get out the water business altogether.
Now, let’s make sure that Nestlé and its potential buyers get the message that we are not going away ahead of the sale of water operations all across the continent.
Thanks for all that you do,
Angus, Nick and the team at SumOfUs
