On Monday, we’re partnering up with our friends at Leadnow to deliver tens of thousands of signatures to the Parliamentary Committee on the Environment calling on them to strengthen Canada’s Climate Accountability legislation.

We’re calling on the committee to make some big revisions to strengthen Bill C-12 before it’s finally passed into law. Add your name now if you want it to be included in the delivery.

We’ve got 4 major demands to bring Bill C-12 in line with the level of ambition that the climate emergency demands.

  1. Listen to the science
  2. Respect Indigenous rights and sovereignty
  3. Create millions of decent jobs
  4. Enshrine dignity, justice, and equity for all

Our voices are already making a difference. First, after we spoke up, we successfully ensured that no Big Oil representatives are on the Climate Advisory Committee informing the development of this legislation.

Then, after stalling Bill C-12 for over 160 days, the Trudeau government finally made some moves to set it in motion last week. We know that the only reason this critical climate accountability legislation passed its second reading is because people across the country -- just like you,... spoke up.

We can’t let up now. Let’s keep on speaking up to win the boldest possible climate action legislation. Demand action to Strengthen C-12 -- and we will deliver your name to the ENVI committee on Monday.
