We’re thrilled to invite you to float up to a show in Victoria on the Gorge Waterway this Thursday! Join ANSWER Drum Group, artist ŦEȺLIE Brianna Dick, and the Wes Carroll Confabulation for an evening of songs and stories in support of RAVEN’s fundraising for West Moberly First Nations’ Site C Dam legal action at the dock at Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club at 355 Gorge Road West.
Don't have a boat? These concerts are accessible to watch from land at Esquimalt Gorge Park (across the Gorge) and on the public beach next to the Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club.

DonateLast Thursday, a crowd of paddlers assembled around a floating stage to enjoy a sun-drenched set of music from legendary artist Bill Henderson (UHF, Chilliwack, Order of Canada) and indie-folk songstress Yael Wand. We were warmly welcomed by Kwakiutl elder Christine Hunt, who spoke on behalf of her Heiltsuk relatives to encourage people to support their legal challenge claiming Aboriginal title to the foreshore and seabed in their territory.
The event raised an amazing $8K, thanks to 100+ attendees and sponsors Denman Island Chocolate, Green City Builders and Persephone Brewing Co. Check out this album of photos from a magical evening that brought delightful community togetherness after a long separation.
Still in the afterglow of Salt Spring’s concert afloat, we’re thrilled to invite you to join in community for a safe and sunlit evening in support of Indigenous justice. Taking place at the same time that the annual Paddle for the Peace has traditionally been held, this event offers an opportunity to put some wind in the sails of West Moberly First Nations as it prepares to go to court to fight Site C Dam next year.
Hope to see you on the water in Victoria this Thursday, July 22nd for an amazing evening of performances.
