Out of the 13 million people who use Change.org in Canada, only a small group of people have received this email. You are one of the most active Change.org users who have signed petitions to power social change and hold powerful people to account in these past few months.
I don’t know if I’ve ever told you this, but our campaigns team in Canada is just 5 people. There’s only so much 5 people can do to help Canadian petition starters run impactful campaigns. We could hire many more experts if we, say, ran ads for big companies on our website. We could introduce paid functions, which only a few could afford. But this would go against our mission. We strongly believe that Change.org must remain independent, free, and open for all. That’s why our sustainability, growth, and... development rely exclusively on our core supporters - people like you, PAOV.
Yes, I’ll help Change.org with a small monthly contribution!
As I said earlier, only a small group of people have received this email. And let me give you another fact: if only 1% of people reading these words became a Change.org Supporter right now with a small monthly contribution, we could increase our resources. This would mean that many more important Canadian campaigns would receive the support they need.

PAOV, Change.org wouldn’t exist without our regular supporters. Without them we couldn’t be 100% independent, or help dozens of Canadian petition starters each week - getting media for their campaigns and organizing petition deliveries. We wouldn’t be able to pay for the servers and the infrastructure we need to make Change.org work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
