We are a week away from the national Day of Action for a Just Transition Act on March 12th. In case you missed it, over 40 communities from coast to coast are organizing to bring a bold vision for a Just Transition off fossil fuels to life.

The stakes couldn’t be higher right now. Earlier this week, the most worrying Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) climate report was released reminding us the window to take critical action is closing rapidly.1 Then yesterday, the Conservative Party presented a motion in the House of Commons calling on Canada to fast track and subsidize pipelines as a response to... Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.2

It is dangerous and diabolical to exploit a humanitarian crisis and ignore the reality of the climate crisis to line the pockets of the fossil fuel industry. We have no time to waste to organize for bold action to end our dependence on fossil fuels, that drive war and climate change.

We know when we rise together, we can make a big impact. Let’s rise together on March 12th to win a Just Transition Act, a critical first step to get us off fossil fuels fast.
