PAOV — Last week, paid parking at provincial healthcare facilities was reinstated in British Columbia, and frontline workers are still fighting against the fees. One nurse estimates that they will pay over $20,000 in parking fees over the rest of their career. If you agree that frontline workers should not have to pay parking fees at work, sign the petition now.

42,640 have signed BC Nurse’s petition. Let’s get to 50,000!
Please sign and share this petition to help us stop The Minister of Health from re-instating paid parking in BC for our local essential front line workers.
The Minister of Health Adrian Dix is re-instating paid parking on March 4, 2022 at all provincial health care facilities. He states "non-hospital users are taking advantage of the situation to park for free while conducting business that is not hospital related."
Instead of charging health care workers, who do not have the option of working from home during the pandemic, why not provide a free parking pass for them to display in their car.
Not all of the health care facilities can be experiencing this problem, because many have a parkade with fob access. Health Authorities are also charging their staff for parking when staff are on vacation, off sick, and working over-time.
Help us end paid parking for the Provincial Health Care Workers of BC.
