Sign now with a clickThere have been significant price increases over the last few years at well-known secondhand retailer Value Village. It... is getting to the point where many people are deciding to no longer engage with this private retailer anymore, and I urge you to do the same.
We acknowledge that Value Village is a for-profit company, however, pricing items higher than what they cost brand new shows the company is lazy and cares more about making a buck than offering consumers a way to shop secondhand instead of buying new. The company has decided to not bring back change rooms since Covid started, they have shortened their return policy and they have been consistently decreasing discounts for loyal customers.
It is time for customers and avid thrifters to stop donating to this place, stop shopping here, and start supporting small, not-for-profit thrift stores. The more we donate to smaller thrift stores, the more likely we are to find some great deals and continue to make secondhand shopping affordable for those who need it most.
