CoDevelopment Canada’s partner Capacidad works side by side with local nurses, midwives, health promoters, and other partners to provide primary health care, maternity care, health education, and outreach in the cooperative community of Nuevo Horizonte in northeast Guatemala. They need our help! This Giving Tuesday is dedicated to this worthwhile and much-needed community organization. A donation of any size is greatly appreciated; every donation goes a long way to support primary and maternity care in this inspiring community which has served as a model of solidarity across the region. We are more than half-way to our goal ($11,000), and every donation goes a long way to support primary and maternity care in this inspiring community which has served as a model of solidarity across the region. ● $10 provides deworming treatment for a class of 25 students
● $30 provides1-month supply of multivitamins for a family of 4
● $75 provides maternity and postpartum care (including prenatal vitamins)
● $1500 provides medicines and supplies for 1 week of primary care clinics
● $3000 provides 1-year salary for a local traditional midwife
