Green hydrogen. Grey hydrogen. Blue hydrogen. Good grief, what's a nation to choose? They all look good on us, don't they?
Or do they? Wouldn't using hydrogen mean replacing one gassy false solution with another?
We'll hear from engineer Ashley Kosak about hydrogen, how it’s created for energy use, and how the fossil fuel industry uses hype around it to simply continue fuel production and infrastructure expansion. She’ll also highlight innovative technologies that might prove to be more viable solutions.
The presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A and discussion with System Change Not Climate Change’s Ted Franklin, who has been tracking federal and California state policy on hydrogen.
Ashley KosakAs a SpaceX propulsion engineer, Ashley Kosak created Project:EARTH, the first decarbonization effort within the company. A mechanical engineer, she is the founder of Green Aero, an agency of engineers, data scientists, geospatial mapping experts, and UI/UX designers dedicated to land remediation after oil, gas, lead, and other industrial contaminants have damaged soils. Her work has been featured on EcoJustice Radio and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
