Hi PAOV,
If you haven't already,
sign up now to join our conversation with Kusemaat (Shirley Williams) tomorrow, Monday March 20, at 4 p.m.
Kusemaat is a member of the Lummi Nation and co-founder of
Whiteswan Environmental, an organization that advocates for thriving cultures and environment for all in the Salish Sea.
She and her colleagues work to
address the impacts of the imposed U.S./Canadian border on the Straits Salish peoples and the Salish Sea, in cooperation... with the W̱SÁNEĆ Nation.
Kusemaat will join Dogwood's Kai Nagata to discuss
the origin of the forced division of the territory, the impact its had on Indigenous land and people, and her spiritual journey to heal the damage that's been caused.
RSVP now to join this important conversation taking place tomorrow at 4 p.m. on Zoom. Add it to your calendar or as a reminder on your phone so you don't miss it!
The UVic ȻETXIȽĆ/Dogwood Project is a partnership project with the W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Council, the W̱SÁNEĆ School Board and Dogwood.
