Next Saturday, June 3rd, CoDev's Annual Solidarity & Fundraising Dinner celebrates 38 years of solidarity partnerships between Canadian and Latin American trade unions and civil society.
We are thrilled to share that our 2023 International Solidarity Award goes to the Workers Central Union of Cuba (CTC).

84 YEARS OF HISTORY OF RESISTANCE AND STRUGGLE FOR WORKERS' RIGHTS
The Workers' Central Union of Cuba (CTC) is the National House of Labour in Cuba.
The CTC was founded in 1939 to represent and advance the struggle of the Cuban labour movement. Since 1959, the CTC has been a major global partner of international solidarity, in defiance of an over 60-year blockade cruelly imposed and maintained by the U.S.
Cuban workers continue to bravely resist the blockade and imperial aggression through innovation and solidarity-building in the workplace, in their communities, and with people and movements around the world.
The CTC has 3.3 million members - 90 percent of all workers in Cuba – and is composed of 19 national sectoral unions.
