Youre invited, Paov

Canada’s burning -- we need urgent action. Join us Thursday to hear our plan. r1

Paov,

This wildfire crisis is a stark reminder that the climate emergency knows no borders.

Over the weekend, Quebec finally got some relief with overdue rain and cooler weather weakening the fires that were blanketing Eastern Canada and the United States with toxic smoke.1 But, while conditions improved in the east, things got worse out west. An out-of-control wildfire near Edson, Alberta, just forced 10,000 people to flee their homes.2

This is an unprecedented national crisis, and Prime Minister Trudeau has a chance to be the climate leader he claims to be. But the hard truth is, for all his talk, our PM is not stepping up to the plate. He’s still cozying up to the fossil fuel industry and fuelling climate chaos.

That’s why we’re hosting a National Organizing Call this Thursday, June 15. On the call, we’ll share a plan for an Emergency Day of Action. Can you join us, Paov?

What: National Organizing Call on the Climate Emergency

Where: Online on Zoom

When: Thursday, June 15th at 4pm PT / 5pm MT / 6pm CT / 7pm ET / 8pm AT / 8:30pm NDT

RSVP: Register online... and we will send you a Zoom link

As horrifying as this moment is, it’s also a wake-up call for many. In the past week alone, hundreds of new people have joined 350 Canada, ready to take action and volunteer.

Together, we can grow the climate movement and build the people power needed to win a rapid, just transition to 100% clean energy. Join us on Thursday to get involved.

Let’s seize this moment and send our government a message they can’t ignore.

In solidarity,

Amara
