Paov,
Today, most people in Ontario will be affected by wildfires -- whether that’s because they’re breathing in toxic smoke or facing a warning to evacuate their homes. They’re not alone. Historic wildfires are devastating communities and ecosystems from east to west, north to south.
In the middle of this crisis, our federal government adjourned Parliament ahead of schedule last week. It’s time to hold their feet to the fire. That’s why we’re making sure that our MPs hear from as many of us as possible during their first week back in their ridings.
More than 30 communities across the country are mobilizing today for the... Canada is Burning Day of Action with demands for MPs to stop fuelling climate chaos by cutting ties to fossil fuels and delivering a Just Transition.
We understand that not everyone can show up at their MP’s office today. But we know that all of us can make our voice heard.
The stakes of the climate emergency are too high. We don’t have a minute to lose.
Onwards,
Chris
