Friends,

Thanks to everyone who attended, held a watching party for or tuned into the livestream of Bold Action: the Moral Call for Climate Justice on Tuesday! If you missed it, you can click here to watch the event.

At the event Reverend Lennox Yearwood told the crowd that “this is our movement’s lunch counter moment.”

He said it during a week when Stephen Harper joined Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbot to pledge to stop global climate action. The same week that our movement has been awaiting a decision on the Northern Gateway pipeline and heard that TransCanada plans to file their final plan for the Energy East pipeline in August.

The Reverend’s words got me ready for a summer of action, and I think they might do the same for you. You can watch his entire speech, and a lot more... here.

In the coming weeks we’re going to be kicking off a campaign for a People’s Intervention in the growth of tar sands infrastructure across Canada, and much more is on the horizon after that. I'm looking forward to standing with you together in the bold action to come.

Onwards,

Cameron Fenton, 350.org
