Our second new campaign in less than two weeks!!

Yesterday the Canadian federal government approved the Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline. This goes against all the input from First Nations along the route and by the waters where the tankers would travel.

So we’re moving. In order to fulfill our mandate to raise funds for First Nations litigation, we created a simple, straightforward page to raise funds. RAVEN is working with Gitxaala Nation - the first nation to ask for our help in fundraising. The nation is also among the first to be ready to launch legal action. RAVEN will work with other nations interested in joining them by launching legal actions against Northern Gateway.

First Nations have unique constitutional rights in Canada, and are united to fight this project in the courts and on the land. They vow it will never be built.

While First Nations legal rights are strong, going to court with the government and Big Oil is expensive and time consuming. That's why these nations need our help to raise funds for their multiple legal challenges.

$100,000 will provide much needed legal research, expert science, and courtroom support to these battles. If you stand with over 2/3 of the province and don't want the Enbridge project built in BC, this could be your best defensive investment.
