Among the many challenges farmworkers face is exposure to health-harming pesticides on the job. Creating a field-to-fork food system that relies less on these chemicals is an urgent priority for all of us. Strong, immediate protections for farmworkers and their families is an important step along the way.
The revised rules make some good improvements, like increased buffer zones for work crews and better safety training. But there are many ways the rules must be strengthened, including:
