Stop the Deforestation of Ayoreo Land

Cattle ranching company Yaguarete Pora S.A. is illegally clearing the last remaining island of forest that is home to uncontacted Ayoreo Indians in Paraguay.

The area has the fastest rate of deforestation in the world. Without their forest, the Ayoreo cannot survive.

Please write to Paraguay’s Environment Ministry and pledge not to eat Paraguayan beef until Yaguarete’s illegal destruction of the Ayoreo’s land is stopped. The Ayoreo face catastrophe if their land is not protected.

I will not eat Paraguayan beef, and will encourage others not to, until your government stops Yaguarete Pora from destroying the Ayoreo’s forest and upholds the Indians’ right to their ancestral land.
