Friends,
Last week, TransCanada filed its proposal to the National Energy Board to build the largest tar sands pipeline ever — Energy East. This means the clock is now ticking on the review for Energy East, and we’re getting ready to take the next steps to stop it.
Here’s what we’re going to do:
Together, we’re going to force a climate review of Energy East -- and when we do, the facts will speak for themselves and show that Canada can't afford this pipeline.
We're preparing tools to help communities file thousands of applications with the National Energy Board demanding to have a say about Energy East’s massive climate impact. Sign up for the Action Network to be the first to receive an organizing kit as soon as we're ready to go.
According to new National Energy Board rules, the review of Energy East will take fifteen months, so the time to get organizing is right now. The first step is joining the action network, and from there we'll put up the fiercest 15 month fight Stephen Harper has ever seen.
Onwards,
Cam & the 350.org team
