This is election week and the week that your council for the next four years is set in stone.

Imagine how it would feel if when the ballots are counted Ben Isitt didn't win.

Ben won in 2011 with just under 13% of all the people in the city voting for him. As far as municipal election victories go, this is an incredible mandate for a first-time city councillor.

Remember, 3 incumbent councillors were defeated in 2011.

Imagine if that were to happen this time... 3 incumbent councillors including Ben Isitt defeated again... or even 1: outspoken Ben Isitt defeated?

There is an alternative. This week is the week to lock-in the victory.

Every vote that gets into the ballot box counts. But wanting Ben to win is only enough if we act on it.

Please, take my advice on this, if you have not voted already -- today is the day to vote at City Hall -- until 8 pm.

Losing such an amazing advocate for people and the planet could devastate much of the progress that we have made in this city over the past three years.

Get out and vote today!
