This past year, people in Hawai’i, Oregon, Minnesota and beyond stood up for food system change. Despite record-breaking industry spending to block progress, communities made important strides toward reclaiming food and farming from Monsanto and the rest of the "Big 6" pesticide corporations.

In just the past several months, we’ve seen voters in Hawai'i successfully push back against historic levels of spending by Monsanto & friends to create a GE-free zone in Maui County. Oregon’s ballot measure to label GE food was defeated by a razor-thin margin. And in Minnesota, communities are working toward — and winning — historic bee-protective policies at the state level.
