Public health experts tell us we have a “silent pandemic” of learning disabilities and disorders, with dramatic increases in learning and developmental disabilities over the past 15 years. Of particular concern are organophosphate pesticides like chlorpyrifos, with mounting scientific evidence linking in utero and early childhood exposure to nervous system harms that can last a lifetime.
Dr. Lanphear has dedicated his career to understanding and preventing disease in children. In this webinar, he’ll focus in on what science tells us about the role pesticides like chlorpyrifos play. PAN’s Policy Director, Kristin Schafer, will also provide a brief update on the latest policies & regulations affecting chlorpyrifos.
