Eight chapters to march for climate justice tomorrow in Quebec City

Activists from eight Council of Canadians chapters will be in Quebec City this Saturday to demand that provincial premiers take real action to address climate change. The Montreal, Fredericton, Moncton, York University, Toronto, Ottawa, Northumberland and Mid-Island (Nanaimo) chapters will all be at the Act on Climate march which is expected to attract thousands of people.

Will Harper try to ratify CETA by June?

During the last federal election campaign, Stephen Harper pledged to sign a 'free trade' agreement with the European Union by 2012. At a campaign stop in Halifax on March 31, 2011 he stated, "My message today is that a re-elected Conservative government will move ahead full throttle to complete historic free trade agreements with the European Union and India."
