A,

What campaign do you want SumOfUs to run next?

A few short years ago SumOfUs began with one simple mission: To put the interests of people and planet above the interest of profit.

Since then we've come together to create a global movement nearly 6 million strong to reign in corporate power, and won campaign after campaign.

Now it’s your turn – what campaign against corporate power should we run next? If it's a great idea and it takes off, we'll help get the whole SumOfUs community behind it!

Tell us here what campaign we should be running with our community!

Imagine that you're browsing the news one day, and read that a company is doing harm in your town or country. Now, you can do something about it with an exciting new website we've just launched that lets anyone start their own petition!

Here's what it could look like:

  • You start a petition on the new SumOfUs Community Campaigns website.
  • You recruit your friends to sign it, and they get their friends to sign.
  • We send it out to a few thousand SumOfUs members. They get really excited about it, so we send it to everyone in your city, your country, or maybe even all 6 million SumOfUs members around the world.
  • You use our email tool to have your neighbors contact the campaign target, and get even more signers.
  • SumOfUs pays for you to print copies of your petition, and you deliver it to the company or person you're petitioning. You might even get on TV and in the newspaper.

And because of you, we win a huge community victory on your campaign.

If an issue is bothering you, let us know about it, and then get started with your own petition.

From the very beginning we’ve believed in the strength of numbers (you can see proof of that in our name). We have stood up for workers’ rights in Bangladesh and won, persuaded Kellogg's, McDonald’s and others to stop destroying the rainforest for palm oil, protected the bees from corporate pesticides… the list of what we’ve done together goes on and on and on.

Together we’ve made some of the most powerful corporations in the world change their ways and answer to the people’s bottom line. We're in this together, and we're so grateful for your support. Now it's time to tap into the collective brainpower and skills of committed SumOfUs members all around the world -- people like you. And we’re looking to you for guidance on what we should tackle next, and your help in taking it on.

It could be something big, like taking on a multi-national corporate actor wreaking havoc across the globe, or a local struggle in your community that just needs a bit of attention. Whatever you think the next most urgent campaign against corporate power is, we want to know. Many of our most impactful campaigns come from people like you.

Every day, headlines all over the globe are filled with news of corporate wrongdoing. Each and every one of these news items is an opportunity to launch a campaign to fight for people over profit. You decide -- which campaign do you want us to run next?

Tell us here what campaign should be next.

Thanks for all you do,
Paul, Nicole, Angus, and the rest of the team at SumOfUs.org

P.S. If you get 200 signatures on your petition, we could email it to thousands of people in your area to help it grow (assuming that it's consistent with our community's progressive values).
