Dear Friend and Supporter of CoDev,
At CoDev, we believe that international solidarity begins with you and your commitment to our partners in Latin America.
This year, CoDev is celebrating 30 years of building partnerships for global justice. Together with our partners and supporters we make a difference in the lives of women, workers, and communities throughout Latin America. At CoDev, we believe that development begins with our own commitment to support communities working to improve their quality of life. We could not do any of this without you and the commitment we share. For this and all you do, thank you.
This summer we are launching a special new fundraising effort to address project-specific issues We begin with the Ometepe Project, a two-year effort focusing on young indigenous woman on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua. The objective of the project is to promote the economic and political empowerment of these women. Please click here to learn more and/or to make a contribution.
Point of Interest: Ometepe is an island formed by two volcanoes rising from Lake Nicaragua in the Republic of Nicaragua. Its name derives from the Nahuatl words ome and tepetl, meaning two mountains. It is the largest island in Lake Nicaragua.
