Sunday, the 2015 federal election was announced. Canadians will be heading to the polls on October 19th and this is a huge opportunity to make sure that important issues are addressed by party leaders.
The first leaders' debate is taking place tonight: let them know that you want to hear their vision of how Canada can help end extreme poverty by 2030.
This September, world leaders will meet to adopt the Global Goals: the most comprehensive roadmap to ending extreme poverty the world has ever seen.That makes 2015 a crucial year and right now Canadians have a chance to tell politicians what’s important to us and what we are expecting from them.
As a Global Citizen you’ll find out about opportunities to call on governments, leaders, and corporations to do their part in the fight to end extreme poverty by tweeting, signing petitions, sending emails and more.
