Paov,

It’s election time - and your OpenMedia team are determined to pressure all our political parties when it comes to delivering affordable, world-class, surveillance-free Internet for all Canadians.

That’s why this week we’ve launched our new Election Vote Pledge. If we can get thousands of pro-Internet Canadians to promise to vote on October 19, it’ll send party leaders a clear message that they need to include our positive crowdsourced policies as part of their plans.

And our vote pledge is just the beginning: over the coming weeks we’ll be rolling out a series of tools designed to ensure that Canadians can cut through government spin, and cast an informed vote on October 19. It’s going to be an exciting campaign, so be sure to keep in touch at OurDigitalFuture.ca and by following us on Facebook and Twitter.

–David, and your OM team.

P.S. You may have noticed that the Internet Insider has been on a break over recent weeks, as we worked to resolve technical issues that were affecting a small number of recipients. We think we’ve fixed the problem, but if you notice anything strange let us know at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

This is the most important election Canadian Internet users have ever faced: it’s our best chance to repeal C-51, reject Internet censorship, and deliver affordable, high-speed Internet for all Canadians. By pledging to vote for Canada’s Digital Future we can pressure all the parties to commit to our positive crowdsourced plan. Pledge your vote right now at OurDigitalFuture.ca.
