Filling up fast!
We're just two weeks away from "My Dangerous Art: Free Expression in a Climate of Fear", the BCCLA's 2015 Members' Evening featuring Franke James, award winning artist, activist, and author of Banned on the Hill: A True Story about Dirty Oil and Government Censorship.
Spaces are filling up fast, so RSVP now!
Franke will present her story of how Canadian officials censored her art, and how they tried to hide that they had done so. The evening includes an exhibition of Franke's artwork, a cash bar, and catered snacks.
This event is free of charge, and offered as an opportunity for the association to say thank you and to reconnect with our supporters. This event is open to new and potential supporters and BCCLA members are encouraged to invite friends and family.
I hope you can join us.
Warmly,
Charlotte Kingston, Director of Community Engagement,
and the whole BCCLA team
