Online campaigns work!
Once again, we have been able to help workers on the picket line by our international solidarity.
Over 8,800 of you responded to our appeal to support striking workers at the National Gallery in London. We launched that appeal a little more than six weeks ago and are today delighted to report on a big victory.
As Public Services International put it: "After a strike of more than 100 days, PCS members at the National Gallery voted unanimously to return to work after the union and management agreed to end the dispute. The gallery has also reinstated PCS senior representative Candy Udwin."
Full details are on the PSI website.
Your messages made a difference for those workers, and that's why it's important to take a minute and support urgent actions like this one.
We've had three appeals this week that I wanted to share with you. Please join me in supporting them:
Sharan Burrow, General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation, is asking for our help in getting governments to ratify the ILO protocol to end forced labour. Please take a moment to learn more and to show your support for this important campaign -

Meanwhile, in Costa Rica, the Ananas Export Company is harassing and discriminating against union members, refusing to engage in constructive dialogue with the workers' representatives.
Learn more and show your support here.
And finally, from Australia we've gotten an appeal from United Voice Queensland, who are campaigning against unfair practices at a community club in Capalaba, south of Brisbane. Please take a moment to show your support for these workers -
This has been a good week for the workers at the National Gallery in London and we join with them in celebrating their win. I know that if we all work together, those workers in Australia and Costa Rica, and workers everywhere facing the horror of forced labour, can win as well.
Solidarity forever!
Eric Lee
