Please support VoteParty.ca and VotePromise.ca voter turnout initiatives

Dear Friend,

Democracy Watch is working with its partner charitable organization, the Democracy Education Network, on two initiatives to help get non-voters voting in the Canadian federal election.

Rick Mercer, Mary Walsh, David Suzuki, the band MAGIC! and many other well-known Canadians are supporting these initiatives – click here to see their videos.

Most... young voters age 18-34 didn’t vote in the last election, and overall only 61% of eligible voters voted. Past voter turnout efforts by Elections Canada and others haven’t worked mainly because they only reach people who already vote.

We know we will also likely only reach voters – which is why:

  • VoteParty.ca makes it easy for voters to Make a Vote Date to take a non-voter to vote with them;
  • VotePromise.ca makes it easy for any voter to Make the Vote Promise to help a non-voter vote.

Please help these initiatives reach voters, and non-voters, across Canada by:

1. Clicking here to make a tax-deductible charitable donation to the VoteParty.ca/VotePromise.ca Fund via Democracy Education Network’s page at CanadaHelps.org;
