A,

If you oppose secret trade deals, rampant pipeline expansion, gutted environmental laws and virtually non-existent corporate tax rates, then it’s fair to say that Stephen Harper has been the worst Prime Minister in Canadian history.

So we’re going to kick him out of Ottawa.

On October 19th, SumOfUs members are coming together to vote for candidates who won’t pander to corporations, and who will stand up for our environment and our rights.

You may want to vote strategically for the candidate most likely to defeat the Conservatives in your riding, or you may want to vote for the candidate that most shares your values. Either way, we want you to walk into the voting booth on October 19th with as much information as possible.

If you plan to vote for the party that most closely aligns with your values, we’ve created a report card highlighting party stances on a few key corporate power issues.

Our community has come together on issues like trade, environmental protection, privatization, and growing inequality -- and the next government will have a meaningful impact on the kind of change we're working so hard towards.

Party Corporate Report Card

If you want to know which candidate in your riding is most likely to defeat a Conservative, the folks over at Leadnow are making recommendations in up to 30 swing ridings based on local polling data.

In places where they’ve gathered a critical mass of Vote Together pledges and recent local polling shows a clear front-runner, Leadnow will be recommending a specific candidate to vote for. In other ridings, they’ve made 2011 results available along with party stances on a few key issues.

Click here to see Leadnow’s recommendations for your own riding.

However you decide to vote, let's make sure that on October 20th we can get to work building a better Canada.

Last election, Stephen Harper won a majority government with support from just 24% of eligible voters. In fact, the 14 closest ridings that put the Conservatives from minority to majority territory were decided by just 6,201 votes.

Our Canadian community is 750,000 strong. In some swing ridings, where the winner could be decided by only a few thousand votes, we have more than 10,000 members. You know what that means? We have the power to change the outcome of this election.

On Monday, let's go out and vote for a better Canada,

Angus, Liz, and the SumOfUs Canada team
