ITUC Condemns Barbaric Terror Attacks in Paris
The ITUC has condemned the barbaric terror attacks in Paris, which left more than 129 people dead and many more injured.

Proposals have been received from two organisations interested in hosting the 4th ITUC World Congress in 2018 – LO-Denmark and TUC-Great Britain. The ITUC General Council meeting in São Paulo in October decided that these proposals, and any others received from affiliates, should be subject to assessment concerning the relevant technical, logistical and organisational aspects and a recommendation made to the April meeting of the ITUC Executive Bureau. Any affiliate wishing to propose to host the 2018 Congress should therefore inform the ITUC secretariat before the end of January 2016, and include all available details of the proposal.
EU Labelling of Products from Illegal Settlements an Important Step
The EU’s decision to require labelling of certain products from illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian territory is an important step, giving consumers the right to make their own choices and providing information about which companies have economic relations with settlements.

Qatar Fails to Stop ILO Forced Labour Investigation
Qatar’s government has failed in an attempt to close down an investigation into its system of forced labour by the UN’s International Labour Organisation in a key decision of the ILO’s Governing Body this week.

G20 recognises inequality as risk to growth – L20 calls for national action plans on jobs and wages
G20 leaders at the Antalya Summit have acknowledged that reducing inequality, creating jobs and ensuring inclusion are essential to generate a stable economy.
