New Year's resolution
View in browser Hey PAOV,

What are your New Year’s resolutions for next year? What if, in addition to hitting the gym on a regular basis and ditching those midnight snack sessions, you had the power to affect the lives of countless individuals living in extreme poverty?

As 2015 comes to an end, we’re taking a look back on some of our greatest achievements and challenges in the fight against extreme poverty. In September alone, we witnessed something extraordinary – 139 world leaders committing to 17 Global Goals to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and fix climate change.

Now is the time to begin thinking about what we, as global citizens, need to accomplish in 2016 to carry out these goals.

Let’s start the new year the right way. Tweet NOW and tell the world that YOU are committing to make the Global Goals your New Year’s resolution. People can’t fight for their rights if they don’t know what they are. So, in order to make the Global Goals work, we need to make them famous. They’re our planet’s best chance for a sustainable future and monumental in 2016 for launching awareness and building momentum for long term impact.

To make sure the voices of global citizens are heard, we’ve teamed up with Project Everyone and the Times Square Alliance to help amplify the Global Goals resolution during the famous New Year’s eve ball drop in New York City – an event with over 190 million viewers.

By making the goals your New Year’s resolution, you are joining a movement to create real change for the world’s most vulnerable and disempowered.

What are you waiting for? Pick out some Global Goals that YOU are most passionate about and commit them to your list of resolutions by tweeting now. We are not a generation of bystanders, we are a generation of global citizens committed to holding world leaders accountable to the promises they’ve made to the world’s poor.

As we look to 2016, we can make sure these Global Goals become our reality. That’s why we’re making the Global Goals our #NewYearsGoals. Join us.

Thanks for all that you do –
