Last week we received some incredible news. A group of generous donors have put up $5,000 to match every donation you make until the end of year. That means if you donate $25, if becomes $50. If you donate $50, it becomes $100.

For example, this year DeSmog Canada broke a national news story about how pipeline company Kinder Morgan was keeping its oil spill response plans secret in B.C. while releasing the same plans in full in Washington State. Our story was picked up by the CBC and the Globe and Mail and was raised in the House of Commons during Question Period. Ultimately, the National Energy Board and the pipeline industry were forced to promise increased transparency.
