Sunjai is a 6-year old resident of Prince George, British Columbia who has raised over $26,000.00 for the BC Children's Hospital. He is an inspiring and motivated young man and it has always been his dream to one day meet his hero, Wayne Gretzky. Even if it means collecting 99,000 signatures on this online petition.
The thing is, Sunjai wouldn't be here today if it weren't for the BC Children's Hospital. He was diagnosed with sagittal synostosis (a premature fusion of the suture at the top of his head) at a very young age. This required a week long hospital stay and a long surgery process that removed part of his skull and required 57 stitches. Sunjai resiliently fought hard and came out of this experience motivated to give back to the BC Children's Hospital.
Over the past couple years, Sunjai has relentlessly sold chocolate bars, collected bottles and participated in other fundraising activities to raise money for the BC Children's Hospital. Although his passion is to continue to raise money for the hospital that saved his life, his dream is to one day meet Wayne Gretzky. Both Sunjai and Wayne Gretzky will be in Edmonton for the Oilers game on April 6, 2016.
