Let's take medicare down the right path

Council of Canadians disagrees with Globe and Mail's endorsement of CETA, ICS 'reform'
It should perhaps come as no surprise, but the Globe and Mail editorial board has endorsed the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the proposed Investment Court System (ICS) 'reform' to the Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) provision currently in the deal.
The Energy East pipeline and the National Energy Board (NEB) process to review it could be a key issue this week as the House of Commons resumes sitting today.

Trudeau meets with Merkel, Hollande and Schulz to get CETA ratified in Europe
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is in Switzerland now for the global elite gathering known as the World Economic Forum, will be meeting with Martin Schulz, the head of the European Parliament, at the Zurich airport tomorrow (Jan. 23) to push for the ratification of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

London Chapter Stages Sit-In to Oppose Hydro One Privatization
The London chapter of the Council of Canadians and Hydro One Not for Sale staged a sit-in this morning at Deputy Premier and London North Centre MPP Deb Matthews office to oppose the privatization of Hydro One.
