This week we had a big win for the open Internet in the world's largest democracy! India has stood up for the free and open Web by passing clear net neutrality rules that ban zero-rating of specific services. This is also a major strike against “Free Basics”, Facebook’s fake Internet plan. Millions of Internet users in India and around the world are creating popular awareness on this key issue.

Thanks to everyone who has spoken up so far. Let’s keep it up and ask other countries to follow India's example at NoFakeInternet.org (image: Wikimedia Creative Commons)
