Paov, will you pitch in for bees?

Dear Paov,

As we head into spring, it’s time for honey bees to work their magic. These and other pollinators turn blossoms into almonds, apples, strawberries and more. They bring one in three bites of food to our plates, including many of the tastiest.

But I don’t need to tell you that. You’ve been working side-by-side with PAN to build support for bee-protective policies. We couldn’t do it without you!

Will you donate today to support our ongoing work for a thriving, resilient food system?

As you know, we all rely on bees. Every. Single. Day.

These vital pollinators continue to be in real trouble. U.S. beekeepers have been reporting annual losses of a third or more for the past ten years. And according to a UN report out this month, global pollinator populations aren’t faring much better.

Habitat loss, disease and other factors are contributing to the problem — but pesticide exposure compounds them all. And pesticide exposure is something decisionmakers can address right now.

Ever since the problem became clear, PAN has been working hard to protect bees from pesticides. With your help, we’ve made important progress at local, state and federal levels — and, yes, there’s more to do.
