Hey A,
PepsiCo’s asking for it.
PepsiCo is the maker of Cheetos. Right now, Cheetos is running an Easter ad campaign -- telling you to “Save the Candy Animals” and eat its new product “Sweetos” instead.
While PepsiCo’s telling you this, it’s putting endangered species like orangutans, elephants, and rhinos at grave risk. Its palm oil policy is not deforestation-free -- it contains a giant loophole that excludes its joint venture partner in Indonesia, IndoFood.
So we’re going to hijack the campaign by bombarding PepsiCo on Facebook. Cheetos' may be trying to silence us -- it looks like it has been deleting our posts, so we're heading straight to PepsiCo to deliver our message.
Step 1: Go to PepsiCo’s Facebook page by clicking here.
Step 2: Copy the text below and paste it as a comment on PepsiCo’s posts, or on its wall. If you include the link, the image will appear automatically.
PepsiCo and Cheetos - we don’t need to save the candy animals. We need you to make your palm oil policy deforestation-free now. https://i.imgur.com/YHNlyl7.jpg/
And ta da! You’ve just brand jammed PepsiCo.
We can stop PepsiCo, because we've already pushed global giants like Kellogg's, Krispy Kreme, McDonalds and many more to stop destroying the rainforest. But PepsiCo won’t clean up its policy unless it feels enough heat. And that’s why we need you to join us in this action.
Make your voice heard by heading over to PepsiCo's Facebook page now.
Thanks for all that you do,
Carys, Kat, Hanna, Sondhya, and the team at SumOfUs
