r1 ... PAN PAN Send a message of appreciation to those who harvest our food

Dear Paov,

Decades ago, Cesar Chavez helped spark a powerful movement for farmworker rights. And that movement lives on today.

As we mark Cesar Chavez Day, let’s also take a moment to honor the contributions of farmworkers across the country. They plant, cultivate and harvest the food we eat daily, and all too often their work goes unappreciated.

Join us today in sending a giant THANK YOU to farmworkers!

Much progress has been made since Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta and others first started organizing — including the stronger federal workplace protections finally enacted last year. Yet farmworkers still face some of the most challenging on-the-job conditions, including working in extreme heat and cold, exposure to pesticides, harassment and even wage theft.

Every day, we here at PAN take leadership and inspiration from farmworkers in our collective fight to ensure all have the protections and rights they deserve. Today, please help us honor the many contributions farmworkers make to our food system — and our dinner plates.

Send a message of thanks! We’ll deliver your appreciation through our farmworker partner groups, and make sure it’s heard.
