These
actions are in support of the community of Attawapiskat who have
declared a state of emergency to deal with a dire suicide crisis, and
in support of all communities struggling against the ongoing legacies
of colonialism.
The protestors demand immediate attention from
the Prime Minister on the situation in Attawapiskat. Indigenous people
want to see the youth needs implemented immediately, and for Canada to
fulfill its treaty obligations to First Nations
People.
Activists are calling for support in solidarity with
Attawapiskat, #OccupyINAC & #GroundZeroINAC occupiers.
