As you know, we're holding this year's LabourStart Global Solidarity Conference in Toronto. It starts next Friday evening and is being held at Ryerson University. We have 630 registered participants from every corner of the world.
We have outstanding speakers including the general secretary of the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions (the only free and independent trade union in China) and the former president of the Communication Workers of America who's now the labour advisor to Bernie Sanders. We have dozens of amazing workshops set up and best of all -- we have a tradition of informality, meaning that this conference will not be like any other union conference you've attended.
You'll be able to meet your fellow trade unionists from Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, to discuss with them in small groups and even one-on-one common problems and solutions.
What a fantastic opportunity to meet the international labour movement face to face, without having to leave Canada.
