Take Action

We’re a Jewish community committed to struggling for justice.

. Join Today . . .

We’re more than halfway through our member drive, and over 1200 people have committed to JVP as new and renewing members this month. Our 1,800 member goal is totally do-able -- but we’re going to need you.

I know we’ve been sending out a lot of emails about this member drive. You might even have had a phone call from one of our member leaders too. We’ve been firing on all cylinders, and it’s been a brilliant and empowering few weeks.

When we talk to members, two questions keep coming up: Who can join JVP? And why are you running a member drive?

The answers are simple: we want members of Jewish communities who share a basic value: that equality, justice, and dignity belong to all.

That’s it. Truly. And if that’s you, please sign up here today!

We’re a Jewish community committed to struggling for justice. But within that, there’s an incredible range of experiences and stories.

And nothing illustrates that better than the words of our own members:

For Rabbi Brian Walt, “In JVP I find many people, including my beloved colleagues on the JVP rabbinical council, who have similar stories and share the commitment to work for a future of justice and equality for all in Israel/Palestine. It is such a joy to be part of a Jewish community committed to the Prophetic call for justice – it is my Jewish home.”

According to Naomi Klein (yes, that Naomi Klein), “JVP shows that being a good Jew means standing up for values of human rights and solidarity with Palestinian people. It’s an alternative Jewish community that allows me to have a home.”

And Leslie Williams, JVP is a community that “reminds me of why I converted in the first place: ethics, egalitarianism, social justice and tikkun olam. I have found myself rediscovering my love for Jewish ritual, now uncoupled from tribalism and dreams of conquest...We have as much right to Jewish culture, history and faith as The Establishment. We should take joy, not just pride in being Jewish.”

It doesn’t matter how or if you worship; what kind of Jewish community you grew up in -- or didn’t; whether you identify as Jewish today -- or don’t; and whether you’re deeply knowledgeable about Israel/Palestine -- or aren’t.

What matters is that you value equality, dignity, and justice for all people. And that you want to be counted among those of us standing up to make those values have real force in the world.

That’s what JVP membership is about.

If you haven’t joined JVP ever before, there’s no reason to wait. Click here and join us today!

Thank you for standing up,

Ari
